after much to-ing and fro-ing, i've finally finished the artwork for my mixtapeproject. submission this month! i'd made the case already but had struggled for time and resources to get the imagery right and in place. until this afternoon. the nice people at omnichrom printed up some stickers for me after counselling me through a spell of indecision. if you ever read this nice girl at omnichrom, i thank you for having the patience of a saint and i shockingly confess to not being a student at all! (i didn't get discount anyway)
the stickers needed some tweaking to fit onto the inner sleeves and i've learn't a few lessons for next month (which should hopefully be quicker and easier than this one!) my cd spiders from the london graphic centre will come in handy for the audio cd and for future cases, i don't think i'll make sleeves...
the front and back covers are featured in the bonus videomix disc and are cringey videodating hopefuls from the 80's. when i have a chance, i'll try to upload the videomix onto the VTSS page. this mixtape is themed around love and the pursuit for romance. the musical tracks are alternative love songs i like with some audio snippets from bizarre films and old adverts thrown in too.. the videomix is a very strange compilation of love related video clips...
i really suffered during this last stage of the mixtape making process! i had some serious caffeine overload jitters, was bed headed and dishevelled having rolled out of bed and straight to the printers once the artwork was complete and then, to cap it off, i got completely soaked on the way back. i think it was worth it - i hope the recipient thinks so too!
