i've spent a large chunk of this past month racking my brains with what to do for the latest mixtapeproject submission. whilst i've had the basic concept and format in place, i needed some crafty inspiration so headed down to the london graphic centre in covent garden to have a snoop around...

it's been ages since i last visited. i always forget just how much they stock! straight away i found cd spiders for 15p each so after grabbing two handfuls, i knew i was onto a good thing.
better yet, there is a small clearance sale on at the minute, the kind where random quirky crafty things get reduced and, because it's only polite to tuck in, i picked up a 3D drawing pad - including 3D glasses! i'm not sure what i'll do with them yet, but i say it's always good to have a 3D drawing pad in your toolbox - you never know when you'll need it...

another reason for my visit had been to pick up some pilot pens. the v5 hi tecpoint pilot is my all time favourite ink pen. it has a great nib, excellent ink flow consistency and is extremely fine which has been super handy for pointillism pieces i've done in the past (something, i'm keen to re-visit). if you haven't played with pilot pens before, i would urge you to grab one and get scribbling! go check out their website

my visit to the london graphic centre has given me some exciting ideas for future mixtapeprojects. and a few other things to boot!
